Renovation in the Name of Tradition and Modernity
Renovation and Restoration of a Building with Exposed Brick Vaults and Steel Beams
Recovery of Brick Vaults and Industrial Character
One of the most distinctive elements of this project is the recovery of the exposed brick vaults, carefully sandblasted to bring out their natural textures and colors. These ceilings, dating from historic Piedmontese construction, have been restored to their original splendor and are now a major aesthetic attraction of the property.
To ensure structural safety while providing a contemporary, industrial look, the following were installed steel beams left exposed, which blend perfectly with the rustic surroundings and enhance the period architecture of the building.
Open Space with Integrated Kitchen and Living Room
The new living area has been designed from a functional and modern perspective: kitchen, dining area and living room are now gathered in one large and comfortable room, where natural light from the large windows highlights the wood finishes and brick and iron details.
The floor in wood-effect porcelain stoneware echoes the warm tones of the structure and helps create a welcoming and refined atmosphere, perfect for those seeking a balance between history and modernity.
Comfort and Design in Every Detail
The project also includes the complete restyling of the bathroom, featuring marble-effect stoneware wall tiles, designer sanitary ware and a large shower stall with clear glass. The understated and elegant style that distinguishes the entire property has also been maintained in this environment.
The presence of a built-in wood-burning fireplace, on a brick base, enriches the living area, making it even warmer and more familiar, ideal for the winter seasons.
A Restoration that Values History and Innovation
This intervention is a perfect example of how a well-designed conservative renovation can combine the beauty of tradition with the comfort and functionality of contemporary living. The enhancement of the brick structures, of the barrel vaults and iron inserts made it possible to achieve a high-impact aesthetic result, without sacrificing the modernity of the facilities and finishes.
